To many people, flight attendants are just peanut & coke slingers, but for these passengers, they were life savers, LITERALLY. See the quick video here.
I applaud these flight attendants for commanding a successful evacuation were NO lives were lost. Your training, focus and compassion clearly kicked in. Kudos Southwest! 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽 I think it’s also equally amazing how the passengers on this flight came together to help one another. This whole story warms my heart.
Friendly reminder: Flight attendants are there primarily for your safety. You never know when something can go wrong, so please, when we ask you to comply with instructions, there’s a reason so please, just comply. 💁🏽♀️ For example, the reason why we have to ask you to tuck your belongings under the seat and stow your laptops is because of potential situations just like this. In an evacuation, we don’t want anything in the way of you exiting seamlessly and without harm. It is for your safety, the flight attendants’ safety and the safety of others around you; and it’s times like these that we are reminded of that. Just remember this, every “rule” a flight attendant tells you is a rule from the FAA (Federal Aviation Administration). Additionally, almost every FAA rule, if not all, was developed AFTER someone got hurt or died in aviation history. Food for thought right? Hope this helps someone. Fly safe y’all! ✈
